Wednesday, April 5, 2006 Division AA Championship: Divers vs. Blues on Tuesday, April 4th The Divers are the 2005-2006 CAHL Cup Champions and Gold Medal winners after defeating the Blues 7-5 in game two winning the series 2-0. The Blues are the CAHL Silver Medal winners. Vince Pitt scored the CAHL Cup winning goal for the Divers at 9:57 of the third period and was awarded the CAHL Playoff MVP Trophy for his outstanding play throughout the playoffs. Vince Pitt finished with a four point night scoring two goals and two assists. Bob Faktor had an incredible game with four goals and one assist for a total of five points. Brent Gay and Tyler Brown both had very good two assist games. Robby Mckeen and Kevin Lewis each picked up an assist. Jason Miller added an empty net insurance goal with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Steve Miller was awesome throughout the game turning aside 34 shots including some great point blank chances.   Laird Dyck led the Blues with two goals and two assists for an excellent four point night. Both Tim Buckley and Tim Cross had big two point games. Brian Ross and Scott Atkinson scored a goal apiece. Ben Van Der Lee, Lynden Dyck, and Derek Hamill each added an assist. Dorlan Schick was great in net making some big stops including a huge glove save in the second period.   Dorlan Schick was awarded the CAHL Top Goalie Trophy for his outstanding season in which he led all goalies with the best goals against average. Steve Atkinson won the CAHL Top Scorer Trophy for his amazing season in leading all scorers. Scott Atkinson was the winner of the CAHL Top Defenceman Trophy for his incredible season in which he led all defenceman in scoring.   Wednesday, March 29, 2006 Division AA Championship: Divers vs. Blues on Tuesday, March 28th The Divers defeated the Blues 4-2 in game one of the best of three Division AA Championship. Jason Miller led all Divers with a great three point game. Aaron Young, Vince Pitt, and Craig Bezjack all had big two point nights. Dan Bourgault and Kevin Lewis both added an assist. Scott Atkinson and Ben Van Der Lee scored for the Blues. Steve Atkinson, Brian Ross, and Matt Dyck each picked up an assist. Dorlan Schick turned aside 24 shots including a number of great stops from close range.   Tuesday, March 7, 2006 Playoffs: Black Bulls vs. Blues on Monday, March 6th The Black Bulls lost to the Blues 1-12 in the first game of the best of three games series. Ben Van Der Lee, Laird Dyck, and Scott Atkinson all scored hat tricks for the Blues. Ben Van Der Lee had three goals and three assists for an amazing six point game. Laird Dyck got three goals and two assists for an excellent five point night. Scott Atkinson scored three goals and had one assist for a great four point effort. Matt Dyck had a huge five point night with four assists and one goal. Steve Atkinson, Tim Buckley, and Lynden Dyck all had big three point games. Brian Ross added a goal and Kevin Wall picked up an assist. Blues goalie Dorlan Schick stopped 12 of the 13 shots he faced for a .923 save percentage. Landin Sharkey scored for the Black Bulls with Mike Hammer getting the assist.   Thursday, January 26, 2006 New Regular Season Team Record The Blues' incredible 14 game winning streak has come to an end. It began on October 11th, 2005 and continued until January 9th, 2006. The previous record was 7 games.   Thursday, January 26, 2006 Divers vs. Blues: Thursday, January 12th The Divers put an end to the Blues' incredible record setting 14 game winning streak by defeating them 9-7. Craig Bezjack led the Divers with an excellent five point night. He scored a hat trick, including the game winner, and had two assists. Vince Pitt and Jarret Mann also had great games. Vince Pitt got two goals and two assists for a four point night. Jarret Mann had a hat trick. Matt Dyck responded for the Blues with a great three point effort. Steve Atkinson and Brian Ross both had solid two point games. Derek Hamill, Ben Van Der Lee, and Laird Dyck added a goal apiece.   Thursday, January 26, 2006 Flyers vs. Blues: Monday, January 9th The Flyers were defeated 3-6 by the Blues. Robert Harvey scored just seven seconds into the game and finished with a great hat trick. Duane Madsen had a solid two assist night. Steve Atkinson and Tim Buckley led the Blues with three point games. Laird Dyck, Tim Cross, and Matt Dyck all contributed two points each. Derek Hamill and Scott Atkinson added a goal apiece.   Thursday, January 26, 2006 Black Bulls vs. Blues: Thursday, January 5th The Black Bulls were defeated by the Blues 2-9. Trevor Hammer and Geoff Dennis scored for the Bulls. Shawn Kirwan and Lee Fleming each picked up an assist. Steve Atkinson and Matt Mosley had great three point games for the Blues. Bryce Rowe, Tim Cross, Ben Van Der Lee, Scott McCallion, Laird Dyck, Tim Buckley, Lynden Dyck, and Scott Atkinson all scored a goal. Derek Hamill and Brian Ross each added an assist.   Thursday, January 12, 2006 Strange Brew vs. Blues: Tuesday, December 20th The Strange Brew were defeated by the Blues 1-15. John Maughan scored the lone goal for the Strange Brew. Lynden Dyck and Laird Dyck led all Blues with an incredible six points each. Matt Dyck had a fantastic five point night. Steve Atkinson, Derek Hamill, and Tim Cross all had great four point games.   Thursday, January 12, 2006 Rockets vs. Blues: Wednesday, December 14th The Rockets were defeated by the Blues 1-13. Laird Dyck and Brian Ross both had fantastic seven point nights. Laird Dyck scored four goals and had three assists. Brian Ross scored twice and had five assists. Lynden Dyck also had an excellent game with four points. Steve Atkinson, Tim Cross, and Matt Dyck all had great three point nights. Andrew Griffin and Tim Buckley both had solid two point efforts. Chaynne Klatt scored for the Rockets. The Rockets goalie Phil Bonk made a total of 44 saves including an incredible 25 saves in the first period.   Wednesday, December 14, 2005 New Regular Season Scoring Records Steve Atkinson has set three new regular season scoring records. He has set a new record for most points in a regular season with 41, breaking the previous record of 39. He has also set a new record for most assists in a regular season with 23, breaking the previous record of 21. In addition, he has set a new record for most assists in a single game with 6, breaking the previous record of 5.   Wednesday, December 14, 2005 Divers vs. Blues: Thursday, December 8th The Divers were defeated by the Blues 6-12 in the battle for first place in the Weekday Division. The Blues' Steve Atkinson had an amazing six assist night which set a new record for most assists in a single game. He also set new records for most points in a regular season with 41 and most assists in a regular season with 23. Andrew Griffin had an incredible night as well scoring four goals and adding an assist for a five point night. Ben Van Der Lee had an excellent game scoring a hat trick. Tim Buckley scored twice and had two assists for a great four point night. Both Tim Cross and Matt Mosley had big three point games. Laird Dyck and Matt Dyck had solid two point nights. The Divers were led by Brent Gay who had a hat trick and an assist for a great four point game. Bob Faktor had a big three assist night. Cam Doepker, Craig Bezjack, and Ryan Marien all added two points apiece. Vince Pitt and Kevin Lewis each added a goal.   Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Reapers vs. Blues: Monday, December 5th The Reapers lost to the Blues 3-12. Andrew Griffin had a huge night for the Blues scoring four goals and an assist for a total of five points. Steve Atkinson also had a huge five point game with two goals and three assists. Scott Atkinson and John Davidson both had great three point games with a goal and two assists each. Matt Dyck had a solid two point night. Domenic Niro led the way for the Reapers with a big two goal game. Adam Wilcox had a solid two assist night. Chris Shurville added a goal.   Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Thrashers vs. Blues: Tuesday, November 29th The Thrashers lost to the Blues 1-9. Steve Atkinson and Scott Atkinson led all Blues' scorers with great three point games. Tim Buckley, Ben Van Der Lee, Brian Ross, and Tim Cross all had solid two point nights. Lynden Dyck added a goal. Chad Holonics scored for the Thrashers with Chris Salewich and Mark Voghell picking up the assists.   Wednesday, December 7, 2005 Flyers vs. Blues: Tuesday, November 22nd The Flyers lost to the Blues 6-7 in one of the most dramatic games of the season. Tied 4-4 with only 2:05 left in the third period, Derek Hamill of the Blues scored to take a 5-4 lead. Just 27 seconds later, at 1:38, Brian Santangelo scored for the Flyers to tie the game at 5-5. A mere 16 seconds after that, and with only 1:22 left to go, Ben Van Der Lee scored for the Blues to take the lead once again. Only 18 seconds later at 1:04, Brian Santangelo scores again to tie the game up one more time for the Flyers. That was Brian Santangelo's second goal within a 34 second span and also his third and hat trick goal of the game. The last 1:04 of the third period trickled down without any more goals meaning a shootout was needed to decide the outcome. After all the shooters went for the Flyers and the first four shooters for the Blues, the shootout was tied at 2-2. The Blues fifth shooter, Ben Van Der Lee, scored the shootout and game winning goal ending one of the most exciting games of the season.   Monday, November 28, 2005 Black Bulls vs. Blues: Tuesday, November 15th The Black Bulls lost 4-10 to the Blues. Scott Atkinson led all scorers with a huge five point game. Tim Buckley scored a hat trick with two quick goals in the first period and one more early in the second period. Ben Van Der Lee and Scott McCallion both had big nights with three points each. Laird Dyck had a solid two point game with a goal and an assist. Steve Atkinson and Derek Hamill added a goal apiece. Landin Sharkey had a great game for the Bulls scoring a hat trick. Jason Wawryk had three assists and Rob MacEachern added a pair of points.   Monday, November 28, 2005 Thrashers vs. Blues: Tuesday, November 8th The Thrashers were defeated 2-15 by the Blues. Steve Atkinson scored four goals for his third hat trick of the season. He also notched four assists for a fantastic total of eights points. Derek Hamill had a huge game with two goals and four helpers. Andrew Griffin and Scott McCallion both had big games adding four and three points. Lynden Dyck and Laird Dyck scored a pair of goals. Tim Cross, Scott Atkinson, and Matt Dyck contributed two points apiece. Mark Voghell and Mark Sebastian scored for the Thrashers. The Thrashers goalie, Steve Tolhurst, had a huge 47 save performance.   Monday, November 14, 2005 Reapers vs. Blues The Reapers lost to the Blues 4-7. Steve Atkinson led the way for the Blues scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for a great four point night. Adam Wilcox of the Reapers also had a great night scoring a hat trick. The Blues' Laird Dyck, Lynden Dyck, Derek Hamill, and Andrew Griffin all had big two point games. The Reapers' goalie Tyler Carrigal stopped 32 shots including 17 in the second period. Chris Shurville and Domenic Niro added two points apiece for the Reapers.   Tuesday, November 8, 2005 Strange Brew vs. Blues The Strange Brew lost to the Blues 3-19. All 10 Blues got at least a point. Tim Cross led all Blues with an unbelievable eight points. Steve Atkinson and Matt Dyck were close behind with an amazing seven and six points. Brian Ross and Laird Dyck each had great four point nights. Tim Buckley and Scott Atkinson had big games with three points apiece. Scott McCallion and Lynden Dyck each had two points. John Maughan, Cam Collingwood, and Raja Bhattacharyya scored for the Strange Brew.   Wednesday, November 2, 2005 Blues vs. Rockets The Blues won 7-5 against the Rockets. Steve Atkinson led the way for the Blues with an incredible five point night. Scott McCallion and Tim Cross added three points each and Brian Ross scored a pair of goals. Steve Brandon of the Rockets had another outstanding four point game for a total of eight points in his last two games. Cam Furgeson, Chaynne Klatt, and Chad Asuchak each added a goal apiece for the Rockets.   Wednesday, October 12, 2005 Flyers vs. Blues The Blues won 7-0 against the Flyers. A total of 11 different Blues' players got at least one point in the game. Ben Van Der Lee and Matt Dyck each scored twice. Blues president and GM Laird Dyck had a two point night with a goal and an assist. Matt Mosley added three assists and Dorlan Schik posted the shutout.   Friday, October 7, 2005 Blues vs. Divers The Divers defeated the Blues by the score of 8-5. Bob Faktor and Brent Gay each scored two goals for the Divers, and Dan Bourgault and Jason Miller each had three assists. The Blues were led by Andrew Griffin who had a three point night with two goals and one assist.
