Division AA Championship: Divers vs. Blues on Tuesday, April 4th

The Divers are the 2005-2006 CAHL Cup Champions and Gold Medal winners after defeating the Blues 7-5 in game two winning the series 2-0. The Blues are the CAHL Silver Medal winners. Vince Pitt scored the CAHL Cup winning goal for the Divers at 9:57 of the third period and was awarded the CAHL Playoff MVP Trophy for his outstanding play throughout the playoffs. Vince Pitt finished with a four point night scoring two goals and two assists. Bob Faktor had an incredible game with four goals and one assist for a total of five points. Brent Gay and Tyler Brown both had very good two assist games. Robby Mckeen and Kevin Lewis each picked up an assist. Jason Miller added an empty net insurance goal with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Steve Miller was awesome throughout the game turning aside 34 shots including some great point blank chances.

 

Laird Dyck led the Blues with two goals and two assists for an excellent four point night. Both Tim Buckley and Tim Cross had big two point games. Brian Ross and Scott Atkinson scored a goal apiece. Ben Van Der Lee, Lynden Dyck, and Derek Hamill each added an assist. Dorlan Schick was great in net making some big stops including a huge glove save in the second period.

 

Dorlan Schick was awarded the CAHL Top Goalie Trophy for his outstanding season in which he led all goalies with the best goals against average. Steve Atkinson won the CAHL Top Scorer Trophy for his amazing season in leading all scorers. Scott Atkinson was the winner of the CAHL Top Defenceman Trophy for his incredible season in which he led all defenceman in scoring.

Division AA Championship: Divers vs. Blues on Tuesday, March 28th

The Divers defeated the Blues 4-2 in game one of the best of three Division AA Championship. Jason Miller led all Divers with a great three point game. Aaron Young, Vince Pitt, and Craig Bezjack all had big two point nights. Dan Bourgault and Kevin Lewis both added an assist. Scott Atkinson and Ben Van Der Lee scored for the Blues. Steve Atkinson, Brian Ross, and Matt Dyck each picked up an assist. Dorlan Schick turned aside 24 shots including a number of great stops from close range.

Playoffs: Divers vs. Flyers on Monday, March 13th

The score was tied 9-9 with just 21 seconds remaining in the game when Kevin Lewis made an amazing pass to Brent Gay who went in alone on the breakaway to score an incredible series winning goal. The Divers will advance to the finals after defeating the Flyers 10-9 to win the best of three semi-finals 2-0. Brent Gay finished the game with an awesome total of four goals and one assist. Craig Bezjack had two goals and five assists for an incredible seven point game. Kevin Lewis and Jason Miller both had great four point nights. Jarret Mann had a big three point game. Tyler Brown got a solid two points and Ryan Marien picked up an assist. Steve Miller turned aside 30 shots including some great point blank saves.

 

Chris Dowsett and Brian Santangelo both had an outstanding game for the Flyers. Chris Dowsett scored four times and got three assist for a total of seven points. Brian Santangelo also scored four goals and picked up a pair of assists for a total of six points. Todd Reidy had a great game including scoring a top corner goal on a perfect feed from Bryan McMillan. Todd Reidy had three points and Bryan McMillan got two. Marty Webber added an assist. Kelly Lyness played unbelievable for the Flyers making incredible saves throughout the game including a Dominik Hasek type reverse glove save while down on the ice and a great point blank pad stack glove save.

Playoffs: Divers vs. Flyers on Tuesday, March 7th

The Divers beat the Flyers 6-3 in game one of the best of three semi-finals. Brent Gay and Kevin Lewis led the way for the Divers with great three point nights. Brent Gay scored twice including a short handed goal with just 2:06 remaining in the game to give the Divers a three goal lead. Kevin Lewis also had two goals and an assist. Robby Mckeen, Bob Faktor, Vince Pitt, and Jarret Mann all had solid two point nights. Craig Bezjack added an assist, and goalie Steve Miller turned aside 16 shots. Duane Madsen topped all Flyers with a two point night. Flyer goalie Kelly Lyness made 32 saves including 13 in the second period.

Divers vs. Blues: Thursday, January 12th

The Divers put an end to the Blues' incredible record setting 14 game winning streak by defeating them 9-7. Craig Bezjack led the Divers with an excellent five point night. He scored a hat trick, including the game winner, and had two assists. Vince Pitt and Jarret Mann also had great games. Vince Pitt got two goals and two assists for a four point night. Jarret Mann had a hat trick. Matt Dyck responded for the Blues with a great three point effort. Steve Atkinson and Brian Ross both had solid two point games. Derek Hamill, Ben Van Der Lee, and Laird Dyck added a goal apiece.

Divers vs. Black Bulls: Monday, January 9th

The Divers defeated the Black Bulls 5-4. Craig Bezjack had an excellent night for the Divers scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for a four point game. Jason Miller also had a big night with three points. Vince Pitt and Dan Bourgault both had solid two point efforts. Lee Fleming, Landin Sharkey, and Kiel Travis led the way for the Bulls with two points apiece. Kayle Ludwar and Rob MacEachern added a goal.

Reapers vs. Divers: Thursday, December 22nd

The Reapers lost to the Divers 6-13. Domenic Niro had a great four point night for the Reapers with a goal and three assists. Daniel Wallace added three assists and Adam Wilcox scored two goals. Brent Gay led the way for the Divers with an incredible four goal game. Kevin Lewis and Craig Bezjack both had great four point nights. Aaron Young, Jarret Mann, Tyler Brown, and Cam Doepker all had solid two point games.

Divers vs. Flyers: Tuesday, December 13th

The Divers beat the Flyers by the score of 4-2. Brent Gay led all Divers with a fantastic four goal game. Jason Miller, Tyler Brown, and Ryan Marien each picked up an assist. Duane Madsen and Robert Harvey scored for the Flyers. Marty Madsen, Dan Canfield, and Bryan McMillan each got an assist.

Divers vs. Thrashers: Tuesday, December 6th

The Divers defeated the Thrashers 15-2. Vince Pitt led all Divers with a fantastic six point game. Craig Bezjack had a huge night scoring four goals. Kevin Lewis, Darren Crone, Aaron Young, and Brent Gay all had big games scoring  two goals apiece. Mark Sebastian and Chad Holonics scored for the Thrashers.

Divers vs. Blues: Thursday, December 8th

The Divers were defeated by the Blues 6-12 in the battle for first place in the Weekday Division. The Blues' Steve Atkinson had an amazing six assist night which set a new record for most assists in a single game. He also set new records for most points in a regular season with 41 and most assists in a regular season with 23. Andrew Griffin had an incredible night as well scoring four goals and adding an assist for a five point night. Ben Van Der Lee had an excellent game scoring a hat trick. Tim Buckley scored twice and had two assists for a great four point night. Both Tim Cross and Matt Mosley had big three point games. Laird Dyck and Matt Dyck had solid two point nights. The Divers were led by Brent Gay who had a hat trick and an assist for a great four point game. Bob Faktor had a big three assist night. Cam Doepker, Craig Bezjack, and Ryan Marien all added two points apiece. Vince Pitt and Kevin Lewis each added a goal.

Black Bulls vs. Divers: Tuesday, November 29th

The Black Bulls defeated the Divers 6-4. It was the first loss in regulation for the Divers. Both Rob MacEachern and Mike Hammer had great three point nights for the Bulls. Jason Wawryk and Duane Madsen also had big games with two goals apiece. Vince Pitt led the way for the Divers with three points. Aaron Young had a solid two point effort. Craig Bezjack and Tyler Brown added a goal each.

Divers vs. Strange Brew: Tuesday, November 22nd

The Divers beat the Strange Brew 11-6. Craig Bezjack had an incredible four goal, two assist performance for the Divers. Dan Bourgault and Kevin Lewis both had great three point games with two goals and an assist each. The Divers starting goalie Steve Miller played as a skater and had a great game scoring a goal and adding an assist for a two point night. Jarret Mann, Aaron Young, Luke Thibault all made two point contributions as well. The Strange Brew's leading scorer, John Maughan, had a big three point game with a goal and two assists. Cam Collingwood and Curtney Aragon each had solid two point games.

The Divers beat the Flyers 11-5. Vince Pitt led the way for the Divers with an incredible six point game scoring five goals and one assist. Dan Bourgault also had a huge night with five points. Craig Bezjack had a big three point game. Aaron Young and Cam Doepker added two points apiece. Shawn Heatley, Robert Harvey, Brian Santangelo, and Levi Stoddard responded for the Flyers with two points each.

The Divers defeated the Reapers 13-6. Dan Bourgault led all Divers with a fantastic six point night. Teammates Craig Bezjack and Aaron Young were close behind with huge five point games. Dave Scully and Vince Pitt also had big nights with three points each. Jason Miller, Jarret Mann, and Cam Doepker contributed two points apiece. Adam Wilcox had a great night for the Reapers scoring two goals and two assists for a four point game. Domenic Niro also had a big game scoring two goals. Chris Shurville had a solid two point night with a goal and an assist. Dayle Hogg added a goal.

Rockets vs. Divers

The Rockets were defeated by the Divers 2-8. Cam Doepker and Aaron Young led the way for the Divers with big three point nights. Jason Miller, Ryan Marien, and Vince Pitt all had solid two point games. Tyler Brown and Jarret Mann added a goal apiece. Steve Brandon and Kyle Lewis scored for the Rockets. The Rockets goalie Phil Bonk stopped 50 shots from the Divers.

Divers vs. Strange Brew

The Divers beat the Strange Brew 11-2. Jason Miller and Kevin Lewis each had outstanding games scoring hat tricks for the Divers. Luke Thibault and Cam Doepker had great three points nights. Dan Bourgault, Craig Bezjack, and Darren Crone added two points apiece. Darren Yates turned aside 30 shots for the Strange Brew. Jesse Hove and John Maughan scored for the Brew.

Black Bulls vs. Divers

The Black Bulls were defeated by the Divers 2-12. The Divers were led by Dan Bourgault who scored a hat trick and Brent Gay who had a four point night. Bob Faktor, Dave Scully, Craig Bezjack, Aaron Young, and Jason Miller all had three point games for the Divers. The Black Bulls' Rob MacEachern got two points including a shorthanded goal early in the second period.

Shootout: Divers vs. Thrashers

The Divers and Thrashers were tied 3-3 at the end of regulation time. A shootout was needed to determine the winner. Chad Holonics scored the shootout and game winning goal for the Thrashers to cap off the thrilling game with a 3-4 win. The Thrashers' goalie Steve Tolhurst stopped all four shooters from the Divers in the shootout and 37 of the 40 shots he faced during regulation. Jordan Skinner had a two goal night for the Thrashers.

Blues vs. Divers

The Divers defeated the Blues by the score of 8-5. Bob Faktor and Brent Gay each scored two goals for the Divers, and Dan Bourgault and Jason Miller each had three assists. The Blues were led by Andrew Griffin who had a three point night with two goals and one assist.
