Ice Storm vs.
Shamrocks on Tuesday, October 31st

The
Ice Storm goalie and player of the
game
Nate Kazimir was awesome
in leading his team to a 5-3 victory against the
Shamrocks making a total of 30 saves
including 14 in the second period alone.
Brett Watts and
Reilly Smith led the Ice
Storm offence with three and two point games respectively.
Brett scored the game
winning goal late in the second period to go along with two
assists while
Reilly scored in the
second frame as well and set up another in the first.
Shaughn McAuliffe,
Jason Petelski, and
Patrick Lauzon also
netted goals with each player scoring once.
Martin Bownes and
Brett Beadle each
contributed an assist in the match.
Number 27
Kent Gillings was the
player of the game for the Shamrocks and finished with a goal
firing in a late one in the first period to make it 1-2 game.
Duncan MacLean and
Geoff Zimmerman each
also scored a goal with
Geoff scoring his
fifth short hander of the season in just five games.
Josh Hamill set up two
goals and
Chad Larson and
Cody Hull each added an
assist. Goaltender

Potters vs.
Reapers on Monday, October 30th

The Potters opened up week five of the
season with a 10-6 Monday night win versus the
Reapers.
Chad Cox, the Potters player
of the game, led all scorers with an incredible five point night
scoring a pair of goals and a trio of assists.
Kirk Ringuette,
Brandon Gramlich,
Ian Wagner, and
Jeff Bourassa all had
great three point games. Both
Kirk and
Brandon got two goals
and one assist while
Ian and
Jeff each had a goal and
two assists. Jason Villeneuve,
Greg Bergeron and
Ryan Shand also had solid
games with two points apiece.
Jason and
Greg both finished with a
goal and a helper and
Ryan set up two goals.
Dustyn Auramenko added
an assist. Goaltender
Chris Smishek turned
aside 25 shots on the night.
Reapers Captain and player of the game,
Domenic Niro, fired in a
pair of goals becoming the first player in the CAHL to hit the
60 goal mark with his 60th and 61st career goals in only his
48th game.
Daniel Straeten and
Scott Kazmerik both had
big two point games with Daniel
netting two goals, including a power play marker, and
Scott getting one of
each, a goal and an assist.
Peter Donahoe,
Joe Nitychoruk, and
Jamie Ryan all contributed
an assist apiece.
Tyler Corrigall was
huge in net completing the game with an awesome 44 saves while
facing an average of 1.3 shots per minute over the three periods
starting with 19 shots in the first, 23 in the second, and 12
more in the third.

Jets on Saturday, October 28th

The
Outlaws were defeated by the
Jets 4-1. The player of the game for the Outlaws, number 10
Guy Mageau, netted the
team's only goal at 4:19 of the second period with
Vince Koch picking up the
assist. Goaltender
Rob O'Donnell made 19
saves including 11 stops in the first frame.
The Jets goalie Geoff Hwang
was awesome in leading his team to the win with his third player
of the game performance this season stopping 24 of the 25 shots
launched his way to finish with a top flight .960 save
percentage.

Denny Englehart,

Don Sheriff armed the Jets
with plenty of firepower with
Chris
rifling in a pair of goals and an assist while
Denny

The Pylons Captain and player of the
game
David Hughes led his team
to a 7-1 victory over the Dragons
scoring a goal in every period for the hat trick.
Steve Wilson was awesome as
well firing in two goals and two assists for a four point night.
Both
Martin Robichaud and
Brian Abildgaard had
big two point games with each player netting a goal and a
helper.
Shawn Bellingham and
Craig Rollison
contributed an assist apiece. Goalie
Martin Gregoire lowered
his season goals against average to a fantastic 1.75 by allowing
only one goal on the night.
Number 11
Roy Canteras, the player
of the game for the Dragons, scored his team's lone goal late in
the first period.
Carlos Zaramella
picked up the assist. Goaltender
Matt Waldorf finished the
night with 28 saves including 13 stops in the second frame
alone.

Rush Roofing Rockets vs.
Ice Storm on Wednesday, October 25th

Down 4-1 in the third period,
Steve Brandon, the
Rush Roofing Rockets player of the game for the third
straight match nearly willed the Rockets to the win by scoring
an astonishing natural hat trick within just a 3:17 span tying
the game at 4-4 by the 6:09 mark of the final frame. The
Ice Storm player of the game
Patrick Lauzon
responded by scoring an amazing natural hat trick of his own in
just 3:56 to lead his team to an 8-4 win over the Rockets.
Steve Brandon also
contributed an assist in addition to his natural hat trick to
finish with an awesome four points.
Patrick Lauzon scored a
goal and an assist earlier in the game and ended the night with
an incredible total of five points.
Mike also scored for the Rockets
while
Jordan Pinkster,
Jason Upton,
Scott Bouwman,
Cody Feenstra,
Chaynne Klatt, and
Tom Upton all picked up
assists. Goalie
Phil Bonk made 12 saves in
the first, 13 saves in the second, and 11 saves in the third to
finish with 36 big stops on the night.

night scoring a pair of goals for the Ice Storm.

The score was tied at two apiece with less than two minutes
remaining in the third period when the Shockers
player of the game
Riley Haugen scored the
game winning goal at the 1:55 mark. The Shockers held on to win
3-2 over the Potters. Both
Jesse McLean and
Tim Robinson scored a
goal and
Brett Borgland and
Sean Frank each added an
assist. Goalie
Scott Ellard finished
with a very solid .909 save percentage turning aside 20 of the
22 shots aimed his way.
Goaltender and
player of the game
Chris
Smishek deflected 17 shots on the night including some big stops
throughout the match. Ian Wagner and Kevin Demyon provided the
firepower for the Potters with each netting a goal. Jason Villeneuve
and Chad Cox each contributed an assist.

Gorillas on Tuesday, October 24th

The
Reapers tied the
Gorillas 5-5.
Scott Kazmerik, the
player of the game for the Reapers had an excellent night
scoring a hat trick including a short handed goal in the second
period.
Peter Donahoe also fired
in a shorthanded marker later in the same frame.
Ryan Kazmerik had a big
two point game with two assists.
Brian Jennings scored a
goal and
Domenic Niro added a helper. Goalie
Tyler Corrigall
deflected 18 shots in the match.
The Gorillas goalie and player of the game
Gregg Nordin was
outstanding as he stopped all 16 shots from the Reapers in the
third period to allow the Gorillas to come back from a two goal
deficit and tie the game 5-5. Gregg
finished the game with a total of 34 saves.
Cory Benjamin
rifled in two goals including the game tying goal with just 3:07
left in the game.
Spencer Wood led all
scorers with a great three point night scoring once to go along
with a pair of assists. Both
Josh Dierksen and
Brock Anderson had big
two point efforts scoring a goal and an assist apiece.
Cam Fuller also finished
with a good two point game picking up a couple of assists.

The player of the game
for the
Blues, Mike Johnson, scored the
team's lone goal in an 11-1 loss to the Shamrocks.
Blues goalie
Josh Wildey stopped every
shot rifled his way in the first period for the second straight
game and ended up making 20 saves.
Chad Bolger and
Andrew Massicotte each
had an assist on Mike's goal
The Shamrocks player of the game for the third consecutive match
Geoff Zimmerman
scored his second natural hat trick of the season this time all
three goals were shorthanded and within just a 4:24 span.
Geoff fired in a
magnificent sum of six goals, including four shorthanded goals
and an assist on the night.
Kevin Hamm and
Cody Hull each had an
awesome night as well with
Kevin scoring two goals
and three assists while Cody
notched one goal and three assists.
Josh Hamill scored once
and had a helper and
Duncan MacLean got two
assists.
Daymond Lane also scored
a goal and

The

Shawn Bellingham had an
amazing five point night in leading his team to a 10-2 victory
over the
Outlaws.
Shawn got three points
in the first period alone picking up an assist and scoring
twice, including the game winning goal, and then to top if off
launched in two more goals in the third for an awesome total of
four goals and one assist. Number 11
Steve Wilson had a great
three point night with one goal and two helpers.
Kevin Donovan had a big
two goal game netting his third and fourth goals of the season
in the first frame. The trio of
Craig Rollison,
Trevor Hughes, and
Brian Abildgaard also
got two points apiece. Craig
scored once to go along with a helper while
Trevor and
Brian each contributed
a pair of assists. Pylons Captain
David Hughes opened the
scoring early just 40 seconds into the first period with
Michael Dixon with picking
up the assist. Martin Robichaud
fired in the game's lone second period goal. Goaltender
Martin Gregoire finished
the night with 23 stops on 25 shots, including stopping all 15
combined shots in the final two frames, for an excellent .920
save percentage.
Luke Belfry, the Outlaws
player of the game, rifled in a pair of goals scoring his second
and third of the season in just two games. Goalie

Jets on Friday, October 20th

The
Dragons were defeated 9-2 by the
Jets.
Charlie Williams, the
player of the game for the Dragons, scored his second goal of
the season 52 seconds into the third period to make it a 2-5
game.
Mark De Souza also netted
a goal and Gary Leblanc
got an assist. Goalie
Matt Waldorf started the
game by turning aside 12 of the 13 he faced in the first frame
for a great .923 save percentage and eventually finished with a
total of 25 saves.
Chris
Macgregor
led the Jets with a superb five point player of the game
performance scoring one goal and four assists.
Don Sheriff was also incredible
scoring a hat trick and firing in a total of four goals. Both
Jeff Farmlombe and
Ashton Smith
finished with great three point nights,
Jeff got two goals and one
assist while
Ashton
finished with one goal and two helpers.
Denny Englehart
also scored a goal and

big game in net as he deflected away all 12 shots in the first

Reapers on Wednesday, October 18th

The
Blues were defeated by the
Reapers 5-2. Blues goaltender and
player of the game,
Josh Wildey, stopped all 10
shots aimed his way in the first period and finished with 21
saves including some big stops throughout the night.
Kevin Baragon and
Jamie Sexton provided the
firepower for the Blues with each netting a goal in the first
frame to give the Blues a 2-0 lead to start the second period.
Joe Reynolds assisted on the
opening goal by Kevin.
Goalie Tyler Corrigall
was the player of the game for the Reapers as he deflected 30 of
the 32 shots launched his way, including all 15 shots in the
second and all seven in the third, for an awesome .938 save
percentage. Down 2-0 late in the second period,
Peter Donahoe started the
comeback for the Reapers by scoring a shorthanded goal with 4:09
left to go in the frame. Captain
Domenic Niro scored another shorthanded goal 35 seconds
later and
Jamie Ryan added one more
short hander, and what turned out to be the game winning goal,
one minute and 51 seconds after that.
Domenic Niro rifled in one more in the third to complete a
great two goal game.
Joe Nitychoruk also
scored a goal and
Brian Jennings and
Daniel Wallace each
contributed an assist. Peter Donahoe
added one more assist to cap off a big two point night and
Scott Kazmerik also had

Ice Storm on Tuesday, October 17th

The
Shockers overcame the
Ice Storm in the battle of the last
two undefeated teams. Player of the game, goalie
Scott Ellard, was
excellent in backstopping the Shockers to a 3-0 win turning
aside all 23 shots for the shutout.
Curtis Foss led the
Shocker offence with two points including the game winner at the
5:12 mark of the first period and an assist in the second.
Tim Robinson and
Shawn Frank also scored a
goal apiece.
Adam Giesbrecht
notched his team leading fourth and fifth point of the season
with a pair of assists.
Shawn Kraft and
Eric Tang each picked up a
point getting the assists on the game winning goal.
Number eight,

Ice Storm leading the team with his
play throughout the night. Ice Storm goalie

Outlaws vs. Dragons on
Saturday, October 14th

The
Outlaws won 5-2 against the
Dragons. Both goalies were the players
of the game as they faced a combined total of 63 shots. Goalie
Rob O'Donnell, the player
of the game for the Outlaws, made 23 saves and finished with a
great .920 save percentage. Number 10
Guy Mageau fired the game
winner for the Outlaws with less than two minutes to go in the
second frame and also contributed an assist in the third for a
total of two points. Alex
Engels, Jason McKay,
Todd Phillips, and
Luke Belfry all scored a
goal apiece.
Mike
Blunderfield got two big assists on the night and
Lyndon Pippin also added a
helper.
The Dragons player of the game for the second consecutive week,
goaltender Matt Waldorf,
stopped all 11 shots aimed his way in the first period, made 13
saves in the second, and topped it off with nine more save in
the third for a total of 33 saves in the match. The double "A"
duo of AJ Cheema and
Alvin Chim provided the
offence for the Dragons with AJ
scoring the two goals and
Alvin assisting on both.

on Friday, October 13th

The
Pylons defeated the
Jets by the score of 5-3.
Brian Abildgaard, the
player of the game for the Pylons, was great throughout the
night as he scored twice, once in the first and again in the
second which was also the game winner. Pylons Captain
David Hughes and
Steve Logrove both made big
contributions as well with two points apiece, a goal and an
assist each.
Andrew Abildgaard also
netted a goal midway through the game.
Martin Robichaud and
Kevin Donovan each picked
up an assist on the night. Goaltender
Martin Gregoire turned
aside 16 of the Jets' shots in the game.
Goalie Jeff Hwang was once
again the player of the game for the Jets as he made 16 stops
including some key saves in the match.
Mike Wroblewsky,
Trevor Nelson, and
Don Sherif were responsible for
all of the Jets goals with one goal each.
Mike Wroblewsky
opened the scoring in the game with a short handed goal at the
11 minute mark of the first.
Trevor Nelson scored just
3:24 later, which briefly created a two goal lead for the Jets.
Don Sherif fired in a goal with
just over five minutes left to go in the second period to tie
the game temporarily at three all.
Jets Captain Paul Chateau
added an assist.

Gorillas vs. Potters on Wednesday, October 11th

Goalie Chris Smishek
made his 32nd consecutive save of the season to earn the second
of his back to back shutout victories for the Potters. This time it
was a 5-0 win over the Gorillas. The Potters player of the
game, number 98 Chad Cox, was the team's offensive leader
scoring twice to go along with two helpers for an excellent
total of four points. Dave Maskwa and Ian Wagner also had big
multi-point games with Dave netting two goals and Ian getting
two assists. Jason Villeneuve scored the game winning goal at
the 11:44 mark of the first period. Yvan Lagasse, Ryan Shand,
and Kirk Ringuette each added an assist. The
Gorillas player of the game, goalie
Gregg Nordin, started
with 13 saves in the first period alone and finished with a
total of 28 saves on the night.

Shamrocks Captain and player of the

Geoff Zimmerman led
his team to a 10-2 victory against the
Rush Roofing Rockets with an unbelievable performance
scoring a natural hat trick and continuing on to score a total
of five consecutive goals over a span of just 12 minutes and 46
seconds.
Josh Hamill had an
awesome five point night as well with one goal and four assists.
Shamrocks President and General Manager
Duncan MacLean,
Kent Gillings, and
Kevin Hamm each got a goal
and an assist for two big points apiece. Both
John Fisher and
Chad Shoemaker picked
up assists. Goaltender
Ryan Steel had another
terrific game with 24 stops on 26 shots for a great .923 save
percentage.
Steve Brandon, the Rush
Roofing Rockets player of the game, had an excellent two goal
night and scored both goals just five seconds apart late in the
second period.
Scott Bouwman got his
sixth and seventh points of the season, in only two games,
assisting on both of Steve's goals. Goalie
Phil Bonk made 22 saves in

Tuesday, October 10th

The
Blues player of the game, number 15
Jorden VanCamp, made it a
one goal game in the third period at the 9:43 mark however the
Shockers added two more goals to take the win 7-4.
Andrew Massicotte and
Adam Danyleko also scored
for the Blues while
Chad Bolger,
Kevin Baragon, and
Mike Johnson all contributed
assists. Goaltender
Josh Wildey made 28 saves on
the night including 21 saves on 26 shots through the first two
periods alone.

Adam Giesbrecht had a
great night and finished with two points scoring once and adding
an assist.
Matt Patterson also had
an excellent game with one goal and two assists for a total of

third while

The
Ice Storm defeated the
Reapers by the score of 5-3. The
player of the game for the Ice Storm,
Reilly Smith, had an
excellent three point night scoring the game winning goal midway
through the second period and added one more, an unassisted
goal, before the end of the frame.

goals and two assists, to start the season with five goals and

Chris Sawchuk had a big
two point night with a pair of assists.
Kyle Myden and Nick Oriold
each added an assist. Goalie
Nate Kazimir was superb
in stopping 34 of the 37 shots fired his way to finish with a
sparkling .919 save percentage.
Scott Kazmerik, the
Reapers player of the game, led the Reaper's offence with a
great three point effort assisting on the first and third goals
and scoring an early second period goal to reduce their deficit
to one goal.
Steve Dand added a goal to
temporarily tie the game at three apiece halfway in the second
period. Defending scoring champion,
Domenic Niro, opened the scoring with a goal just 3:50 into
the first period. The defending Top Goalie Trophy winner
Tyler Corrigall was
great once again as he made 19 saves in the first, 13 in the
second, and 14 in the third for a colossal total of 46 saves on
51 shots. Brian Jennings
and
Daniel Straeten each
picked up an assist.

Pylons vs. Dragons on
Saturday, October 7th

The Pylons won 7-1
versus the Dragons. Number 95 Kevin Donavan, the player of the
game for the Pylons, led all scorers with an excellent three
point night scoring two goals, including the game winner, and an
assist. Steve Wilson also had a great two goal game scoring in
each of the last two periods. Pylons Captain David Hughes
finished the night with two big points netting a goal late in
the second period and also an assist earlier in the game. Dan
Wahl got a goal by opening the scoring with 4:05 left in the
first to make it a 1-0 game. Neil Hughes also scored getting his
goal midway through the second period. Trevor Hughes and Russ
Bechtold each picked up an assist. Goalie Martin Gregoire got an
assist and also made a great glove save late in the third
period.
The Dragons player of
the game goalie Matt Waldorf was fantastic in facing 33 shots
and made some huge glove and pad saves throughout the game
including 11 saves in each of the first two periods. Charlie
Willams led the Dragons offensively with a goal halfway through
the third period.

Friday, October 6th

The Outlaws were
defeated by the Jets 5-1 in the Weekend Division season opener.
Steve Hamelin, the Outlaws player of the game, scored the lone
goal with Ryan Aspinwall and Mike Blunderfield picking up the
assists. Goalie Rob O'Donnell turned away 12 shots on the night.
The Jets player of the
game, goalie Jeff Hwang, had an incredible night and started the
game with a perfect first period stopping all 18 shots. He went
on to finish the game with 34 saves on 35 shots for a fantastic
.971 save percentage. Chris Macgregor led the scoring with an
excellent three point game scoring twice, including a short
handed goal, and an assist. Tim Buchan also had a great night
with a pair of goals. Denny Englehart scored the game winning
goal midway through the second period at the 8:43 mark. Terry
hanson, Smith, Jason Wroblewsky, Paul Chateau, and Don Sherif
each added an assist.

Landex Shockers vs.
the Shamrocks on Wednesday, October 4th

The Landex Shockers
won 3-2 against the Shamrocks in a battle of the goaltenders.
Both goalies were amazing as a total of 77 shots were fired on
the two goalies. The Shockers player of the game, goalie Scott
Ellard, stopped all of the 15 shots he faced in the third
period to preserve the one goal win. He stopped a total of 39 of
the 41 shots launched his way to finish with an amazing .951
save percentage. Both Daniel Swyripa and Adam Giesbrecht scored

The Shamrocks player
of the game, goalie Ryan Steel, was also brilliant stopping 33
of the 36 shots he faced including 16 of the 17 shots rifled at
his way in the second period. Shamrock Captain, Geoff Zimmerman,
led the offence with an excellent two goal game. Kent Gillings
had a big two assist night. Kevin Hamm also picked up an assist.

Rush Roofing Rockets
vs. the Reapers on Wednesday, October 4th

It was the first game
between the two teams since they last faced off in the 2005-2006
CAHL Cup Championship and the Rush Roofing Rockets kicked off
their season with a victory defeating the Reapers 6-4. The
Rockets player of the game Scott Bouwman led the way with an
amazing five point performance scoring four goals, including a
short hander, and an assist. Steve Brandon and Kurt Bransma both
had big nights with two points apiece. Scott Bergen scored the
game winning goal with just over five minutes left in the second
period. Phil Bonk turned aside 17 shots and stopped all of the
shots aimed his way in the first and third periods.
The Reapers player of
the game Tyler Corrigall, last season's Playoff MVP Trophy and
Top Goalie Trophy winner, made 41 saves including stopping 20 of
the 21 shots he faced in the third period for an incredible .952
save percentage. Two-time Top Scorer Trophy winner and last
season's MVP Trophy winner, Domenic Niro, led the way
offensively for the Reapers with a pair of goals.

Potters vs. the
Blues on Tuesday, October 3rd

The Potters defeated
the Blues 6-0. Chris Smishek stopped all 17 shots he faced for
the shutout victory. Greg Bergeron and Jason Villeneuve both led
the way offensively for the Potters with two goals each. Kirk
Ringuette also had a big night with three assists. Dave Maskwa
made a very solid contribution with two helpers. Brendan Engdahl
and Ryan Shand each added a goal and Chad Cox and Ian Wagner
both picked up an assist. Blues goalie Josh Wildey turned aside
a total of 26 shots including all 11 shots in the first period
to keep the game a scoreless tie heading into the second period.

Ice Storm vs. the
Gorillas on Tuesday, October 3rd

The Ice Storm won 12-0
against the Gorillas. Nate Kazimir turned away all 15 shots for
the shutout. Kyle Myden and Brett Watts both had huge nights for
the Ice Storm with five and four points respectively. Kyle
scored twice and had three assists while Brett scored a hat
trick and had one assist. Reilly smith also had a big night with
a goal and an assist.
The Gorillas
goaltender Gregg Nordin made 27 saves on the night including a
big first period with 12 saves to keep the game within reach. |
