Division A Championship: Reapers vs. Rockets on Wednesday, April 12th

The Reapers are the 2005-2006 CAHL Cup Champions and Gold Medalists after winning game three 7-5 against the Rockets. The Rockets are the CAHL 2005-2006 Silver Medal winners. Reapers' goalie Tyler Corrigall was awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Playoff MVP Trophy for his incredible goaltending throughout the playoffs.

 

The trio of Adam Wilcox, Jerry MacGawon, and Domenic Niro were magnificent for the Reapers. Adam Wilcox scored the CAHL Cup winning goal with just 58 seconds remaining in the second period and finished with an incredible five points. Jerry MacGawon led all Reapers with an amazing six point performance scoring a hat trick and three assists. Captain Domenic Niro had an excellent four point night with two goals and two assists. Sean Mortimer and Justin MacFarlane each added an assist. Tyler Corrigall had another outstanding game for the Reapers making a total of 37 saves and was especially great during the second period when he turned aside 20 of the 21 shots he faced.

 

Jordan Pinkster topped all Rockets with an excellent two goal game. Scott Bouwman scored another shorthanded goal and finished the playoffs with an unbelievable three shorthanded goals in five playoff games. Scott Bergen and Chaynne Klatt both had big two point nights. Scott Bergen scored one goal and one assist, and Chaynne Klatt got two assists. Kyle Lewis scored a goal and Jason Upton and Tim Rycecamp each got an assist. Phil Bonk had a great game with some incredible saves including an amazing glove save on a breakaway during the second period.

 

In addition to winning the CAHL 2005-2006 Playoff MVP Trophy, Tyler Corrigall was also awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Top Goalie Trophy for having the best goals against average during the regular season. Domenic Niro was awarded the CAHL Top Scorer Trophy for the second consecutive season. He finished the regular season with an amazing 72 points which was 22.6% of his team's offence. Domenic Niro was also awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 MVP Trophy for having the highest percentage of his team's scoring points during the regular season. Michelle Lowey was awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Top Female Player Trophy for her incredible season in leading all female players in scoring.

Division A Championship: Rockets vs. Reapers on Wednesday, April 5th

Seven skaters had already gone for each team and the shootout was still tied 4-4. The eighth skater for the Rockets then took his turn and was denied by the Reapers goalie Tyler Corrigall. Steve Dand went in as the eight skater for the Reapers and became the shootout hero scoring a beauty goal. The Rockets lost by the final score of 2-3 to the Reapers in game two of the best of three Division A Championship.

 

Scott Bouwman and Curt Bransma led the way for the the Rockets with big two point games each. Scott Bergen scored a power play goal with just 4:13 remaining in the third period to tie the game 2-2 and send it into the shootout. Jason Upton picked up an assist. Phil Bonk stopped 19 shots including an incredible glove save late in the third period while on the penalty kill.

 

Tyler Corrigall was phenomenal for the Reapers with an amazing performance making one outstanding save after another throughout the entire game. Corrigall turned aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced for a fantastic .949 save percentage and stopped 31 of the 32 shots thrown his way during the first two periods. Shootout hero Steve Dand finished with one goal and Domenic Niro and Jerry MacGawon each had two points. Adam Wilcox added an assist.

Division A Championship: Reapers vs. Rockets on Wednesday, March 29th

The Reapers were defeated by the Rockets 2-6 in the first game of the best of three Division A Championship. Steve Brandon led the way for the Rockets with an incredible game scoring a hat trick and an assist for a total of four points. Scott Bouwman also had a very good night with two points. Curt Bransma and Kyle Ustache both scored a goal apiece. Scott Bergen, Chad Asuchak, and Jordan Pinkster each picked up an assist. Phil Bonk turned aside 17 shots and made a great save on a cross crease pass while down sprawled across the ice.

 

The Reapers were led by Jerry MacGawon and Domenic Niro who both had big two point games. Adam Wilcox added an assist. Tyler Corrigall made 38 saves including a great glove save while being screened during the first period. In the third period Tyler stopped a one on one deke which was followed immediately by a point blank shot that he also saved.

Playoffs: Rockets vs. Strange Brew on Wednesday, March 15th

The Rockets won the best of three semi-finals versus the Strange Brew and will advance to the finals after defeating the Strange Brew 11-6 in game two. Kyle Ustache and Kyle Lewis led the way for the Rockets with outstanding six point games. Kyle Ustache scored a hat trick and got three assists. Kyle Lewis scored twice and got four assists. Chaynne Klatt had a great game as well with one goal and three assists for a total of four points. Scott Bouwman and Scott Bergen both had big games scoring a pair of goals each. Curt Bransma, Jason Upton, and Tim Rycecamp all had good two point games.

 

David Welichka and Jesse Hove were awesome for the Strange Brew. David Welichka scored a hat trick and had two assists for a total of five points. Jesse Hove had a five point night as well with one goal and four assists. Cam Collingwood and Mark Ross scored a goal apiece. Andrew Banister, Kerry Kennedy, and Wayne Sopko all had big two point games. Darren Yates turned aside 32 shots and made some huge stops including a diving save on a cross ice pass and a great point blank pad stack save in the second period.

Playoffs: Strange Brew vs. Rockets on Wednesday, March 8th

The Strange Brew lost to the Rockets 2-6 in the opening game of the best of three games series. Kyle Ustache had an excellent night for the Rockets scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for a total of four points. Andrew Warwick scored the game winner on a short handed goal late in the second period. Scott Bergen and Curt Bransma both had solid two assist games. Eric Havinga and Kyle Lewis scored a goal apiece. Jordan Pinkster and Scott Bouwman each picked up an assist. Phil Bonk had a great game and turned aside 20 of the 22 shots he faced for a .909 save percentage. Mike Wasylyk had a huge game for the Strange Brew scoring a pair of goals including a short handed breakaway goal with just 1:06 remaining in the second period. Jesse Hove had a good two point night and Mark Ross added an assist. Darren Yates was great for the Strange Brew making a total of 43 saves including 18 in the first period.

Thrashers vs. Rockets: Wednesday, January 11th

The Thrashers lost 6-9 to the Rockets. Mark Voghell led the Thrashers with an excellent four point game. Chad Holonics and Mark Sebastian both had big two point nights. Chris Salewich and Tyson Pylypiw each added a goal. Scott Bouwman had a fantastic five goal one assist performance for the Rockets. Eric Havinga also had a great night with four points. Chaynne Klatt and Kyle Lewis got two points apiece. Andrew Warwick contributed a goal.

Rockets vs. Divers: Wednesday, January 4th

The Rockets defeated the Divers 13-9. Steve Brandon led the Rockets with an amazing eight point game. He scored five goals including the game winner and had three assists. Chaynne Klatt also had an incredible night with six points. Andrew Warwick had a great game scoring a hat trick. Dan Bourgault was huge for the Divers with four points. Tyler Brown, Jason Miller, and Craig Bezjack all had great three point games.

Rockets vs. Black Bulls: Wednesday, December 21st

The Rockets won 7-5 against the Black Bulls. Andrew Warwick, Scott Bouwman, and Jason Upton led the Rockets with excellent three point games. Cam Ferguson, Chaynne Klatt, and Jordan Pinkster all had solid two point nights. Jonathan Yakes and Rob MacEachern both had great three point games for the Bulls. Rick Noll and Casey Alton had two assists apiece. Geoff Dennis added a goal.

Rockets vs. Blues: Wednesday, December 14th

The Rockets were defeated by the Blues 1-13. Laird Dyck and Brian Ross both had fantastic seven point nights. Laird Dyck scored four goals and had three assists. Brian Ross scored twice and had five assists. Lynden Dyck also had an excellent game with four points. Steve Atkinson, Tim Cross, and Matt Dyck all had great three point nights. Andrew Griffin and Tim Buckley both had solid two point efforts. Chaynne Klatt scored for the Rockets. The Rockets goalie Phil Bonk made a total of 44 saves including an incredible 25 saves in the first period.

Strange Brew vs. Rockets: Wednesday, December 7th

The Strange Brew lost to the Rockets 7-8. The Rockets were down 4-0 early in the game and were behind until the 9:18 mark of the third period when Andrew Warwick scored to tie the game 6-6. John Maughan responded for the Strange Brew with a shorthanded goal, with 5:24 left to go, to take the lead once again. There were no goals for the next five minutes until incredibly with just five seconds left in the game Rocket Steve Brandon scored to tie the game and send it into the shootout. The Rockets were leading the shootout 3-1 after their first four shooters. The Strange Brew needed their fourth shooter to score to stay alive however Phil Bonk made an incredible pad stack glove save to win it for the Rockets. Steve Brandon scored the shootout winning goal to cap off a fantastic six point night (four goals and two assists). Scott Bouwman also had a great game scoring a hat trick. Chaynne Klatt had a big three assist night. John Maughan had a huge game for the Strange Brew scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for a four point night. Mike Wasylyk and Jesse Hove both had big games scoring a pair of goals each. Darren Yates turned aside 31 shots including 19 in the second period.

Rockets vs. Thrashers: Thursday, December 1st

The Rockets defeated the Thrashers 16-5. Chaynne Klatt had a big seven point game for the Rockets. Kyle Lewis, Scott Bouwman, and Jason Upton had six, five, and four points respectively. Andrew Warwick, Eric Havinga, and Chad Asuchak got three points each. Thrasher Bobby Scott had a big three point night. Chris Salewich and Mark Sebastian both had solid two point games. Wade Chapman added a goal.

Flyers vs. Rockets: Wednesday, November 30th

The Flyers beat the Rockets 12-7. Marty Madsen had a huge five point night with a goal and four assists. Duane Madsen and Robert Harvey both scored hat tricks and added an assist each for great four point nights. Levi Stoddard, Dan Canfield, and Brian Santangelo all had big three point games. Kelly Lyness made 33 saves in the win. Pat Sutherland had a great game for the Rockets with a goal and three assists. Steve Brandon had another big game with three points. Rick Curran, Steven Rogers, Kyle Lewis and Chaynne Klatt all had solid two point games. Rockets goalie Phil Bonk turned aside 35 shots.

Reapers vs. Rockets: Wednesday, November 23rd

The Reapers were leading 5-1 early in the second period when the Rockets suddenly scored four goals, including three by Steven Rogers, within a 2:55 span to start the biggest comeback win of the season. The Rockets scored five unanswered goals to take a 6-5 lead midway through the second. The Rockets eventually won 6-10 outscoring the Reapers 9-1 after falling behind 5-1. Steven Rogers, Steve Brandon, and Kyle Lewis all had outstanding five point performances for the Rockets. Andrew Warwick, Chaynne Klatt, and Chad Asuchak had great nights contributing three points each. Scott Bouwman added a goal. Adam Wilcox and Justin MacFarlane both had big games for the Reapers with three points each. Joe Nitychoruk had a great two goal night. Chris Shurville and Domenic Niro added a goal apiece.

Shootout: Flyers vs. Rockets

Duane Madsen scored the go ahead goal for the Flyers with 2:13 remaining in the third period to take the 3-2 lead. Daniel Pelletier responded with just 0:55 left on the clock to tie the game and send it into a shootout. The shootout was tied after the first four shooters from each team with Duane Madsen scoring for the Flyers and Steve Brandon scoring for the Rockets. The Flyers' fifth shooter Ian Kenney scored the shootout and game winning goal ending the thrilling game. The final score was 4-3. Marty Madsen and Duane Madsen also had big games for the Flyers with a goal and an assist each. Rocket Steve Brandon had another great night with two goals and an assist for his fifth three point or better game this season.

Rockets vs. Divers

The Rockets were defeated by the Divers 2-8. Cam Doepker and Aaron Young led the way for the Divers with big three point nights. Jason Miller, Ryan Marien, and Vince Pitt all had solid two point games. Tyler Brown and Jarret Mann added a goal apiece. Steve Brandon and Kyle Lewis scored for the Rockets. The Rockets goalie Phil Bonk stopped 50 shots from the Divers.

Rockets vs. Strange Brew

The Rockets defeated the Strange Brew by the score of 13-3. Chaynne Klatt had a fantastic five point game with two goals and three assists. Steve Brandon had his third straight four point game with an amazing four goals including the game winner. Cam Furgeson had his first hat trick and scored his second and third goal of the game just 43 seconds apart in the second period. Kyle Lewis had a great game with three points. Jason Upton and Tom Upton both had big games with two assists apiece. John Maughan led the way for the Strange Brew with an awesome three point night (a goal and two assists). Cam Collingwood had a great two point game and Michael Gale added a goal.

Blues vs. Rockets

The Blues won 7-5 against the Rockets. Steve Atkinson led the way for the Blues with an incredible five point night. Scott McCallion and Tim Cross added three points each and Brian Ross scored a pair of goals. Steve Brandon of the Rockets had another outstanding four point game for a total of eight points in his last two games. Cam Furgeson, Chaynne Klatt, and Chad Asuchak each added a goal apiece for the Rockets.

The Reapers lost to the Rockets 2-7. Steve Brandon had an outstanding four goal game. Eric Havinga, Chad Asuchak, and Scott Bouwman also added two points apiece for the Rockets. The Reapers goalie Tyler Carrigal stopped 31 of 38 shots.

Rockets vs. Black Bulls

The Rockets' Chaynne Klatt scored the game winning goal with just 38 seconds remaining in the game, preventing the shootout. The final score was 5-4 for the Rockets. Chaynne Klatt had a four point game; teammates Steve Brandon and Cam Furgeson each had three point nights. The Black Bulls' Jason Wawryk had three assists and Rob MacEachern had a goal and an assist.

Rockets vs. Thrashers

The Rockets lost 0-5 to the Thrashers. The Thrashers' Steve Tolhurst got the first shutout in the CAHL 2005-2006 season. Jordan Skinner scored two goals for the Thrashers including the game winner. Chad Holonics also had a two point night with a goal and an assist.
